Revision #2

For this revision I basically just re made my last table of Contents page, but instead of using Microsoft Publisher I used Adobe InDesign. This allowed for me to build upon my editing knowledge and so I could see how magazine companies really achieve their results. Also, it was a lot easier to create this look with InDesign than in publisher because in publisher the spacing was all messed up and I had to completely format it myself. So, it was easier to put together in InDesign.

Digital Distribution Research

 The Travel Magazine digitally distributes through their app on the App Store. This app includes all their currently our issues. Although, the only way to access the. issues is you have to have a subscription. This way their audience can fully enjoy this magazine on the go on their phone or laptop. This way of digitally distributing is very smart and well though out which is why I will be taking these methods into consideration when I am digitally distributing my product.

This travel magazine called Conde Nast Traveler Magazine has their own website for their magazine where they sell subscriptions to their product. They have different plans for selling their magazine like by paying for a monthly or yearly subscription, and then they will send the magazine directly to the costumers house every month. This way of Digital distribution is very ingenious and definitely something I can use when I plan out my digital distribution plan especially because we have similar target audiences.

The Travel and Leisure magazine digitally distributes through amazon and their own website. I can incorporate this distribution methods into my magazine by creating a website for my magazine and advertising the subscriptions for my magazine. So I would start off with a minimum fee of 5.00 a month for my magazine. This way we start off small  and when we gain a bigger following we could increase the price. I could also distribute my magazine through Amazon which is goo because a lot of my target audience uses this shopping website frequently.

Distribution Plan

The methods of distribution I will be using it through Amazon, and cresting my own website that I can put on my Instagram for easy access to more information. This is because in my marketing plan I created and instagram account for advirtising and so my target audience could view exactly what we were all about pictures wise. By having the website linked on our page that will draw our audience for more and then we can sell it to them on our personal website. We also will be creating a mailing list in which a computer projected which people would be most interested in our product so we sent them in the mail a free trial of out magazine which leads to a full subscription if the costumer sticks with the trial. We also have out our magazine on commerce websites to attract more attention in a more traditional way.

Revision #1

For this revision I re shoot the cover photo for my magazine and edited it through Adobe photoshop. I thought this cover would be better suited for the color scheme I am going for. The other photo just was two warm toned for me and I need more blues in the cover photo. This photos color scheme is easily recognizable and appealing to the eye which is why I choose it. I also reformatted this in Adobe InDesign. This waylay magazine would be more refined and look more professionally done. Additionally, in my other cover photo the word Florida in my title was blending in with the clouds in the sky, but with this photo anyone can clearly see the title of my magazine.

Traditional Distribution plan

There are a couple ways for magazine companies to traditionally distribute their product. For instance they can start with mailing lists and packaging. Then they identify key locations and events, and then they can start bagging the magazine with relevant titles. Then finally they can offer  their magazine to ecommerce websites. Then finally it leads to the content distribution. Another way to look at it is there are three levels to this: the producer, the wholesaler, and the retailer. These three things define the levels of distribution in a more simple way because these all control the distribution. These are the traditional methods that I would be using to distribute my magazine.

Marketing Plan

My magazine will be advertised through social media because my target audience mainly uses these mass media platforms. For instance, like Instagram and Facebook are specifically the platforms that I will be using to advertise my magazine to the public. I will also be go to the travel Magazine Convention in April to advirtise my magazine further. I have a instagram account already to advirtise my magazine, but we just need to increase its following.

Audience Engagement Research

Sunset magazine has a Facebook account in which they digitally advertise their magazine. A lot of users of this specific platform are of my specific target audience and the target audience of Sunset Magazine. We have similar target audiences because we both are using social media platforms to advertise out magazines. This magazine clearly is advertising to a certain age group when using these platforms because if they were trying to reach an older crowd they might advertise in commercials or places that older crowds visit.

Travel and Leisure Magazine and I have a similar target audience because we are both travel based magazines. Similarly, we have the same audience because we both offer informative approaches and cost effective ways to travel. Also, we are both in a luxury travel magazines because we each have beautiful destinations advertised to travel to. in our magazines. These examples are like places in Europe and the countries, but my magazine focuses on the US specifically Florida because there are many popular destination like Miami and Orlando. They also advertise their magazine through Instagram which is a very popular social media platform used specifically by our target audience. I will also be using this platform to advertise my magazine because my target audience age group uses this platform daily.
